I ruptured my ACL and tore medial in March 2017. I saw Paul Trikha in the knee clinic. He walked in, told me he was (one of) the best (!!). Turns out he might be... The knee was swollen so he refused to operate on it; told me where to get the best physical therapy for it and saw me 3 months later. The physios he sent me to were both superb. Listen to him on this front... 3 months later much improved but still unable to stand on one leg properly, he again refused to operate saying the medial was healing and that I would be one of the lucky ones who did not need an op even though ACL was bust. I struggled to think this would be the case at the time and took a second opinion from fortius clinic in London which treats most sports stars with bust ACL. Sam Church at fortius said exactly the same stuff to me as Paul Trikha. A year later and a lot of physio, both legs are the same strength on a watt bike; I have hiked across South Georgia following Shakletons mammoth hike with an ossur ultralight brace and cannot thank Paul Trikha enough for making 100% the right clinical call even though I was offering him to do it privately. He is in my view just a super lovely guy, right up there with the best in the uk. Count yourself very lucky indeed to get him on the NHS. St. Peter’s should thank their lucky stars to have him as a consultant there. In fact he single-handedly changed my view positively of the entire hospital.

I'm 29 years old. I suffered a bad knee in May 17 injury playing rugby (Full rupture of ACL and MCL, partial tear of PCL and meniscus damage) I had no previous problems with my knee. I was referred to Dr Trikha who suggested the recovery plan of 'prehab' from May to July to allow the MCL to begin heal naturally, followed by an ACL reconstruction (hamstring graft) in July17. Op went well, the early recovery stages were tough but i'm now 8 months post operation and i feel like i will make a full recovery back to rugby. My advice to anyone about to have this operation: - Get a GOOD sport specific knee physio. - Work really hard on mobility in in the early stages post op. - You're in safe hands with Dr Trikha

Having suffered for a number of years with pain in my right knee after a football injury I was recommended to Mr Trikha by my physiotherapist nephew. At my first consultation he explained clearly the proceedure together with the advantages, and possible disadvantages, of surgery. This gave me the confidence to go through with the replacement knee operation. Seven weeks later I am so pleased I had the operation there is no more pain and nothing seems impossible, thank you Mr. Trikha.

Mr Trikha is a very skilled surgeon who I trusted completely. He gave me the options throughout my treatment, and I always felt I was in control of my surgery. He made fantastic recommendations for surgery, but ultimately it was my decision, for physiotherapy and post operative care. I personally dealt with him throughout my procedure and aftercare. He showed concern over my welfare, and the impact the surgery had upon my young family - he even took the time to show, using a knee model, what the operation involved, and googled some pictures that were appropriate for my young son, who was very interested in the operation. I feel I am fully back to a normal life again, training and teaching Capoeira, and upon his advice, am living life as if I didn't have a knee operation. I have since recommended Mr Trikha to numerous colleagues and friends who are considering knee surgery. Thank you

Dr Trikha examined my left knee as I was in some mild pain. He swiftly arranged an MRI scan which revealed only a sprain and he told me that surgery was not required. We then agreed a course of physiotherapy and I was discharged after a follow-up session with Dr Trikha. Dr Trikha is a very impressive, articulate and friendly consultant and I would recommend him without hesitation.
